They tried to make you feel like you were in space for the opening scene which set the tone for the rest of the movie and had a very large impact. Another example of an impactful opening scene is the lion king. The Lion has an opening scene with a lot of colors. The scene starts of in Africa in the morning as the sun is rising, it shows all the animals running to a destination. There is a bunch of variety in colors and animals.
